Postby Bass,Bucks,andplentyofDucks » Sun Mar 18, 2012 5:28 pm

I've got a pond i stocked about 5 years ago and I would like to try fishing it but it's unbelievably muddy, does anyone know what i can do to clear up the water quality? any advice is appreciated.

BB&pofD
A few things come to mind.
1) is cloudy water caused by suspended solids IE dirt in water
2) chemistry issue
3) feeding water dirty
4) bio activity alge or micro activity

Each one of those needs a differant application, could you isolate some of the variables?
NRCS is always a great resource across the country to help you out.

Add limestone that is what alot of people are here do because we have tons of red clay.

Call your local gravel company
