I was given a pacific DL-155 that was pretty rusty. I took it completely apart and cleaned all the rust off all the parts. Most was done with a bead blaster so I need to coat the metal with something to keep it from rusting again. I am painting all nonmoving parts if possible but I was wondering what I should coat everything else with.

Steel wool will fine tune the metal too extra smooth.
Wet Emery "x-fine" cloth for the heavy rust, works well.

I like a heavy grease & a light oil for for my loaders.

It depends on the temp, moisture & dust problen in your area.

Being a X Navy Gunner's Mate, I love grease !!
