I'm getting antsy already

Postby Mallyard » Tue May 15, 2012 8:13 am

Been thinking about ducks too much lately! I decided to lose my self in a little project to help me cope, lol.
Put some off road lights on my layout boat yesterday, they are plenty bright. Thought they turned out pretty decent. anyone have any suggestions on what to do with all the excess wire? I bundled it up but cant figure out what to do with it. I'm not very experienced when it comes to electrical, so even this simple project was a learning experience for me.

If you want to pass some more time you could build me one of those boats.

Might as well wire in a cigarette lighter too, you never know what you might need it for

You have anything to zip tie it too? Is that a Kara?

Pass some more time, head out to the lake, remove wires from lights drop in water and dinner is served

Nope it's a four rivers. I'm pretty anxious to get it out this season just spoke to Ben at Dixie mud motors today. Sounds like he may have a motor set up that will be pretty slick for this boat. Im tired of paddling lol.

I too recently purchased a four rivers boat. I was thinking of doing the same thing...which brand of light did you go with? is it water proof?

Mallyard, I put those same lights on my 14'. They do a pretty darn good job for the money. As far as the excess wire, you can either cut it out and butt splice and heat shrink, or leave it ziptied out of the way. Shoot me a text if you need any help with the wiring.
