Rehoboth Beach questions.....

Postby Slack Tide » Fri Jul 27, 2012 9:57 am

Hi Guys,
We are looking to go on a road trip from NY and a friend suggested RB.
I looked it up a bit and figured that I'd ask the locals..
My buddy is a single guy who is all excited to go to the Dog FIsh brewery. I on the other hand am bringing my 2 year old son and pregnant wife SO, I don't want the "Jersey Shore" scene that he may be looking for.
How is it down there? Clean, quiet, family, quaint etc? Or summer zoo scene?
Thanks
Slack

It's not bad but very crowded. Theres quite a bit for kids to do there as well. The water is rough quite frequently, if your looking for swimming hit Lewes which is just north of Reho. the wave are much smaller. Rehoboth has a high "alternative lifestyle" population if you know what I mean. Lewes is quieter but not as much to do. Rehoboth has the boardwalk with arcades and a pretty neat amusement park for children with beach type restraunts. If you go to Rehoboth you gotta hit Louies pizza for a grinder sub ( nothing more than a toasted sub) but damn it's good. Alot of folks like Grotto's pizza too, but it doesn't agree with me or most people I know. I live 20 minutes from the beaches and the only time I go is in the winter LOL. Hope this helps dude.

its not bad. Bubba's right, lotsa stuff for kids. plenty of stuff for you to do as well. Rehoboth is a huge community of homosexuals and many are not afraid to display it openly in public, so if you dont wanna run the risk of seeing it or having the kids see it ,might wanna stear clear. another option which is my fav, is ocean city maryland. tons of stuff for the whole family to do down there. its about another 30-45mins further south.
Theres always someone out there thats better then you. I'm that guy.
