IF ? we get into a rainy period .........

the farmers may not want to exert th effort and frustration to combine corn
the fields on the south side of indy were blown down by the storm over the weekend if it were to rain hard the corn will rot
on the ground
the whole mess of baiting will be a nightmare this season, mowing, or disking corn fields without picking first the game wardens will be very busy checking the fields we all sit in
about the only safe place to hunt may be over established water !!!
does look for a very interesting year chasing birds

Im not 100% positive but I believe they have to pick it to get insurance.
No contest ring. No gimmicks. No compromising. It’s just pure, raw, balls-to-the-wall, don’t tell your mother, most powerful, non-nuclear duck calling machine on the planet. This call may not be for everyone. But if you can drive it, Game over......

I believe that's wrong. I know of farmers mowing it and getting insurance which makes the field baited if there is any grain.

This is how I think it is. They have to mow it, or plow it under to get insurance payoff. This may screw us by giving the geese huge refuges this year. I already know of one farm that typically holds geese that mowed their corn. Now it can't be hunted and may hold the geese all season. They roost in housing developements near by, so they're untouchable.
