Hi all I'm new to Colorado but not the forum or duck/goose hunting. I moved here last year from Western New York and don't know where to begin to look for places to hunt. I also don't know what hunting is like in the west. The hunting I did in NY consisted of cut agriculture fields (corn, soy, oats), hiding in cattails in swamps and the Niagara River (for divers and geese). In NY there was lots of water, public places and farmers that were happy to have you geese the geese. If anyone can fill me in on the basics of hunting the front range, public places, talking to farmers ect.
Because of the move I sold all my decoys so I also need to start purchasing new decoys. What kind of spreads are people using, size and kind of birds?
I appreciate any help people have to offer.
