Pheasant hunting Vermont

Postby yellodog1 » Mon Jul 17, 2006 6:16 pm

Anybody ever pheasant hunt in the state, whether it be on a preserve or their own property where they have let their own pheasants go? I am wondering how pheasants would survive a Vermont winter?

Does anybody have any wild Pheasants in their area in Vermont?

I am thinking about raising some and letting them go in my area to see how they do.

Thats the place to live. I heard a few years back that a guy shot a Red Elk just outside the fence down in Fairlee, near the Wild Hill preserve while deer hunting. I guess he got to keep it.
