Anybody here have an F250 with the 6.4l and tuned it? I want to get that freaking DPF out and gain some mileage back. I was thinking about the H&S Mini Maxx. Help!!!

efi live is awesome i was told. friend of mine did dpf delete and exhaust and tuner he is getting 23.5 on the highway and 18.5 to19 in town which is awesome. i get 14.5 to15 intown and 18.5to 19 onthe high way with my 05 and its a srw 350 crew cab long bed and its bone stock with exhaust soon to come. im a fan of custom tunes on the sct my self . i heard bully dog was garbage. for me if i put a tuner on my 6.0 i would probably go with edgejuice with attitude

Is your buddies mpg hand calculated or off of the lie-o-meter?

hand figured but he drives his truck like he's 85 and not 35. his wife drives it harder than he does. mine on my 6.0 is hand figured to cause i checked the li-o-meter and it was almost 1 mpg off said better than i was gettting . i drove my foremans truck at work for a week its a 08 xl srw f350 with work box full of tools and stuff. his mpg said 9.6 and has said that pretty much the whole time he drove it. i reset it when i fueled it up drove it for a week and it said average was 13.3 and i pulled a bobcat 331 mini ex 50 miles on the high way ad only lost 3 tenths of a mpg pretty sure thats wrong.if i had a do over i wouldgo with 6.4 dpf delete tuner exhaust intake all day over mine i have now.

6.0 is all about sct with custom tunes. you get your tranny and everything tweaked to how you want it. im not positive about the 6.4 but truck source diesel in texas made a mild panty dropper tune for my 07 6.0 that is anything but mild. it hauls and the mileage isnt too bad either if you can keep your foot out of it. i havnt done that enough to really calculate but getting close to a 20 mpg average.

do you know what mods he has and what tune he is running? the stock sct or "canned" tunes are garbage IMO. they dont shift good at all. they do have good power just horrible shifting. so an extra 25-50 bucks for a custom tune that does what you want it to is well wort it. heck the mild tune i have will chirp my 35's into atleast 3rd. but back to the 21 mpg hah see what that dudes got i might have to check it out to see what it does for mine.

Well it's in, all I can say is WOW!! The trans relearning process was more than I like to put the truck through but at WOT it'll burn out all the way through 3rd.
Highly recommend this combo, very easy install as well

oh it's fun. when an f350 on 35's ditches "sports" cars it sure does put a smile on your face. had a guy in an dudge srt8 try to block me on an on ramp slowing down when i did and then tried to speed up with me and that 60 to 100+ was a little much for the guy. still have to remember it's a truck so dont get into the new age iroc scene that makes well built diesels look like bromobiles

Never, it's an 08 King Ranch 250 on 35's. say no to chrome!

But ya first day it was on some guy in an Eclpise revved his engine at the stop light. Needless to say I smoked him. And he had his windows down, so...double smoked?

haha yeh thats an added slap in the face. ive had somebody tell me how much im poluting and i had to let them know that my smoke sinks back to the ground and does nothing to really harm the environment as to where her small cars exhaust does the opposite and goes to the air. nothing funner than being half a$$ed green
