Hunting Canadas on the water

Do boats make good blinds for Canadas on the water or will a boat scare em off ?

I regularly use boats when hunting Canadas on the water. I have a 12 foor flat bottom jon boat that we lay down in and also a 14' deep-v that I put a very simple blind on. Both are painted in camo to match the water - battleship gray. We have had geese nearly land on us. We set up right at the edge of the spread with no problems. Just be still.

Thanks. Mine is a green jon boat, but as there sand bars in the area I could just throw some burlap over it to blend in.
