Longnose gar. The good pics will start again in about 3 months, I dont know if Ill make it that long. I will get to shoot some teal in about 30 days though, so maybe that will hold me over for two months.
If they're dumb enough to be lured in by plastic you're really just doing them a favor.
Now that's what I am talking about! I haven't gotten out at night yet this year, too bad!
GB, I don't know about Smack, but if we shoot a good mess of fish, which normally happens when we go out, we will fillet them out and have ourselves a fish fry the next weekend or throw them on the grill that night. Good eatin if you cook them right.
I am suprised no one has said Muskie yet. All other fish are just bait Nothing will get your heart going like seeing a muskie hit a topwater bait. Unfortunately I moved from Wisconsin to Kansas earlier this year, so I will be very limited to my musky fishing. Maybe once a year if I'm lucky.
as far as my favorite fish to fight, undoubtedly, it is the king salmon! nothing can compare to a big king...at least in michigan. what a riot.
although i enjoy catching salmon, my first love is probably walleye. not because of the fight, but because i grew up fishing them. made a living fishing for them on a charter service, and for the challenge of catching them they present at times.
on my fly pole, its has got to be
3) Amador bows
10) anything else
3-6 is basically all the same, i just love catching the trout family in general on flies, makes me feel orginal (and like Brad Pitt when i catch a hog  ). on convention tackle, i really like to catch anything and everything.
You haven't fished until you've caught an Atlantic Salmon
They are one of the best fighting fish BY FAR!!!!!
What a battle they give!!
here's a 32" i caught last biggest one i ever caught was 36" and about 25 lbs caught him 2 days before this girl
