Oklahoma rambler?

Postby Bass,Bucks,andplentyofDucks » Mon Oct 15, 2012 11:07 pm

What do you guys think about having an traveling decoy for just Oklahoma? it would be fairly easy to do ftf transfers or if you wanted to ship it you could do that too. It's just a thought tell me what you guys think?

I am game.

Lets have it some different kind of decoy though. Like a woodie, buffy or goldeneye not the boring mallard.

That sounds like a great idea. I second the nomination for a G&H, unless there is a carver that is local to OK? I would chip in for a nice hand-carved...

Just a thought, G&H might even donate one since they are a DHC sponsor. Not sure if anyone has any relationships with them or not. If so, that might help. I will call them if no one else has any relationship there.

Alright glad to hear it! I think the G&H is a great idea too, if we can get one donated then that would be even better, who wants what date and I'll put together the schedule. I don't personaly know anyone up there so unless someone else does I would appreciate if you contacted them speck. Do you guys want to just draw a name out of a hat to see who gets the decoy after seasons over?

Put me down for a day as well. I love that idea. Back in Texas, we had a local carver donate one, and we all signed it. I'm all for G&H since it is from OK, but I think it would be even cooler if we got a hand carved decoy to pass around. Just my .02. Either way, put me down for the date.

Best way to decide on species of duck is perhaps do a poll thread?

Agreed on the poll thread and I got your name down okb&d, And I found a carver's number up by Vinita I'll call him and talk to him unless you guys would rather the G&H, hell I guess we can vote on that too.

It doesn't matter what kind to me. I just think that we can't be exactly choosy if it's donated.

Great idea, as well as the group hunt. We almost had a hunt like that last year with fishfurlife but he had to work or unfortunatey. I thought it was a great idea as well as his invite!!

I be honored to hunt over that decoy! Put me down for Christmas Eve. My family does a big Christmas Eve hunt every year. With that big snow storm a few years back our annual family hunt has created some great memories!
