I think a hand-carved block would be a better collector's item for whoever ends up with it after the season than an off-the-shelf G&H...though cost would obviously be a factor. A poll to decide species sounds like a good idea.

If it makes it way to the Muskogee area I'm good for any weekend, Thanksgiving week, Dec.20-Jan.2 or any day thereafter to the end of the season.

I think if you hunt over it, you get it to the next guy either meeting face to face or through the mail. This sounds awesome.

Need to get fishfurlife to sticky a thread of this for us. That way we have a place to post pictures and summaries of the hunts.

The other is what will be done with the rambler when there journey is done? I'm guessing the guy that got it will keep it?

The way i figure....we all pitch in for the cost....end of the season we gather in OKC ...the moderators buy dinner....and those that hunted over it get to draw for it...we can be real corny and draw duck calls instead of names

With the date I asked for, I know I will have time to go out with it. With the 5th, I don't really know with work.

Great day. Hunted with duck501, and despite the rain and wind, we took our two man limit. Actually killed bluebills over the bluebill. Great company and a great day. Hope it brings each and every one of you as good of luck as it brought us.

The Rambler STRIKES again. Great hunts guys. I just don't understand....everyone has mallards in their pics but to me, shooting a mallard is like shooting a unicorn. It just doesn't happen! Ok im done crying

Before I moved here, on the TX coast, mallards were trophy ducks. The thought of having to take lesser ducks like pintail, gaddies, wigeon, teal, etc., awful, just awful. :lol3:

I can never kill or catch up to wood ducks, and get this......Canada geese. They ALWAYS elude me. I called four into the kill zone at twenty yards last weekend, with four frickin' MOJOs going, and I short-shucked my dang 870, a gun I was using in deference to my Benelli that I loaned to a student of mine in the next blind. I thought I was going to start crying. They are the bane of my existence, and I want so badly to destroy them. I have been on hunts where they are the only thing targeted, and I still can't get them.
