migration report

Postby ivanlambert » Wed Oct 17, 2012 2:44 pm

i live just 30 minuites north of winnipeg manitoba canada. and the mallards have only now been showing up in the fields. big numbers to, flocks from 5 to 80. our hunting season starts september 8th and till now (oct 16th) almost nothing from what i could see. geese are everywhere all year in fields but i could care less i'd rather eat and shoot mallards.

just a little heads up the ducks are coming in very late this year.

Hey thanks for the heads up. I hunt in south central ND. Hands down BEST time of the year is when the big northern mallards storm on through. Nothing better than knocking down 6 of those big green heads.
