I've had several heated debates about this already so I will try and make it quick. I have no problem with what the echo boys do as far as shooting them on the water or just off of it. I have a huge problem with people shooting at birds on the wing. I used to spend a lot of time at indoor and outdoor ranges and at target shoots and I can say the majority of archers are terrible shots. If you can't hit a deer quartering away consistantly then you have zero chance of coming close to hitting a bird. Also I remember rule number one of shooting a bow, don't shoot it up into the air period ( yours may have been don't dry fire). When that arrow comes back down it could kill something or someone depending on the setup. Now if your on a private ranch you can do what ever the heck you want to, but the last thing I want to see at a check station is Robin Hood with a hip quiver full of arrows.
How's my spelling WTN10

Use 3 feathered flu flu's. Anymore than 3 we've found that it slows down the arrow too much, and makes it hard to judge lead.

We kill pheasants all the time over a dog with a longbow and this setup.

You can practice by cutting circular circles of hard insulation, and having someone stand behind a building or barrier and toss them up in the air. At the trad. shoots we frequent, they also use old stuffed animals etc.
I just pooped my pants.
