Vermont Hunters Education Courses and Volunteers

If you know of anyone, or if you have kids that need to take the Vermont Hunters Education course, now is the time that they are starting to offer them. The course has a minimum of 12 hours of class, and usually runs for 16 hours over a few week period, followed by a test.

Also the State has a program where an instructor will give you the course material and you can study at home, complete the material, and meet for a few hours on a particular Saturday and you will have completed the course on your own.

If you have any questions as to where and when the VT hunters Ed. courses are to be held you can call the automated line at 1-800-718-HUNT, or if you have further questions, call 802-241-3720 to get a live person to talk to.

The State is always looking for volunteers to teach hunters Education in their own communities. To instruct you need to sign up with Fish and Wildlife, and go to Buck Lake for a weekend in Late August. If interested you still may have time to sign up.

Call Fish and Wildlife if you are interested.
