New Pit Blind Build

Postby Slack Tide » Mon Oct 22, 2012 12:34 pm

Hey guys,
We are building a new pit blind and we are looking for some ideas about how to configure our flip doors.
Can you guys post some pics of yours?

It will depend a lot on the shape of you pit opening. Can you post a pic of it? Also do you want a top that opens in each direction? Bill Byers' Hunter Club est. 1953

this is during construction, dont have pics of the finished blind. I put 3/4 plywood on hinges that flip inside the blind to keep snow/sand out during off season and heat in if only a few hunters are hunting. I put hog panel fencing that hinges out that has cattails zip tied to it for camouflage and so that you are able to see through/call

Any pictures of the finished blind? We used the hog fense with p-clamps and hinges for drop down doors. My buddy has balister weights on his, so it is spring loaded when you step on a pedal in the bottom of his blind.
