Does anyone agree?

Does anyone agree that as it gets later the geese (canadas) get darker in color as opposed to early in the yr. To me geese look more brown early and as it gets cold they take on a more darker color. Almost resembling the darkness of an FFD decoy. Am i crazy or do you guuys agree?

are you sure the white breast feathers are just getting stained from died vegetation in the ponds and lakes as the weather cools down, and a lot of dairy farmers are spreading cow poop and tilling fields later in the season so they spend more time in the dirt then in hay hay fields like early season geese do.

Pretty sure the birds aren't rolling around in the cow poo like the family pup though!

Yes, they do get darker in color. Theyre fully plumed later in the season and their feathers are darker. No question about it. Thats why so many decoy companies have decoys that are dark. Matching a fully plumed Canada goose.
