Help with my spread.

Im gonna give divers a shot this year. They usually show up at least once during the season. For decoys I have 24 Bluebills 5 goldeneye and 5 buffies. There are also puddlers and geese around so I was thinking some geese decoys and Mallards and pintail deeks. Any suggestion on how long I should run my lines? Im thinking 2-3 lines. Do you guys run all the same length lines?
Thanks

Here is an easy formula for line length.

(Decoys X (2 X dropper length) + 2 X Water Depth) = Length of Main-Line

Example: 12 decoys, 3 ft droppers, 10 ft water depth
------------ (12 X 6) + 20 = 82ft

This gives you 3ft leeway as well (because of the dropper length)

In your scenario with 35 decoys, run 3 82ft lines with a dozen on two of them and 11 on the third.
Make a 'V' with two lines where the ends are approx 40 yards apart, and then divide your 'V' in half with the thirds line. Throw your pule ducks out in random order at the point of your 'V'.
