That looks great man! I'm actually a bit envious. That's the one thing I would do different about our stonework, I would come off of the wall like yours. If I failed to tell you that in our previous conversations I apologize. Good job Cannon, looks oddly familiar.

I should have the place finished in 2-3 years. :(.

Today, in celebration of the harvest halting wet weather, I wired a couple of bathrooms.

Thanks, bro. Probably 5-7 real days of work and that many more to finish odds and ends. I've got to hang 90% of the doors, finish tin in 3 or 4 rooms, put planks up in 2 rooms, finish closets, trim, seal, hang a few ceiling fans, build bunk beds, . . . etc, etc, etc.

I won't get the deck built in time for the big dance, but I think I've got the interior in my crosshairs. I've still got 4 days of rice and 10 days of beans to harvest, 300 acres of stubble to roll, 600 acres of levees to stop up, and 6 blinds to brush, in the meantime. Needless to say, the farm is a high-stress environment right now.

How are Jr. & the Mrs.?

They're doing well. He's fat, happy, and sleeping. It sounds like you're going to make it. I know you're ready to have it finished. We've got 150 acres flooded and rolled, but we really need some dry weather to finish our beans.

I consider it a mixed blessing. I need to get this crop out, but rainy days are the only ones I have to work on the compound, so I'm trying to make hay, whether the sun shines or rain falls.

I'm just starting to see the first of the ducks make their way into town. Geese have been here for a while, but the little birds are just starting to filter in.

Give the fam & crew my best.

Will do. Glad to know you are seeing birds. I posted this in our thread in the HH.

Can I come drive a tractor for you on the weekends? Payment will be just letting me do it.

Wow!

Believe it or not, that almost makes me nauseous. The specks are so thick out back that it's hard to think, and I need another 2 months before birds start making town. Can't even imagine getting it all done on time. I think I'm developing ulcers. I may just stay at your place all season.

I'm serious. There are few things I like more than sitting on a tractor to clear my mind. I can be there Saturday.

I'm serious too.

(1) can you run a grain cart; and

(2) do you have problems running a cab-less?

1) never have
2) spent more time on a cab-less than in a cab so definitely no problem there.

Excellent! I've got a cabless on a stubble roller that's begging for a driver. You say when, and I'll put ya to work.

I can believe it. If we don't get some beans cut soon I'm going to be right there with you. I'm just glad we got some water out, whether we like it or not the birds are here.

We have had a lot of should've, could've, would've. Means we should talk more. Crop farming is something that I have always been interested in. I would almost pay Cannon or you to let me drive a tractor all day.

Cannon, I am asking permission and will let you know.
