Some duck ID help

Postby sherlockbonez » Mon Nov 05, 2012 3:27 pm

These 2 came in with a flock of bills this morning. I'm having a heck of a time figuring out what they are.

First this one. The bill reminds me of a sea duck. Slightly bigger than a drake bluebill. White wing patches.

And this one looks a lot like hen bluebill, but has gry speculum.

looks like the top one is a scoter and the other a hen red head or ringneck.
Life is to short to sweat the small stuff. Do what you love and do it often.

Why do I shoot 3.5" for geese? Because they don't make a 4" yet!
