NOV Week in Review

Postby fultz_danNWPA » Mon Nov 12, 2012 7:23 pm

Had extremely high hopes for the week after watching all the birds that Hurricane Sandy Blew in. Well either Saturday or Sunday they all decided to leave and well Monday was quite the bust. Only killed 2 ducks and 3 geese and only saw probable 20 ducks all day. But got back on track tuesday and killed 11 divers. 6 bluebills, 2 ringers, and 3 ruddy ducks. Thursday got out again and harvested 2 gadwall and a mallard, missed on a nice group of teal that decoyed perfectly. Friday was a bust with no birds even being seen. Saturday got out on a spot I had been saving all week and boy did the mallards show up...only we were about 60 yards off the X. Also nothing but poor shooting but we ended up with a hen buffie and a pair of mallards. All in all not a bad week but it would of been nice to capitalize on the last day. Bring on December.

Congrats on the good week of hunting. And yeah it would have been nice to capitalize in those mallards. Hope everything stays good for December. Let me know how the migration is up there.
