Getting the hang of this...

Postby pweisbrod » Tue Nov 13, 2012 10:31 pm

Decoyed in a few flocks of birds today, shot my first bluebill DRAKE and my first bufflehead drakes. I should have limited out, but it wasn't the arrow, it was definitely the indian. My shooting gets bad when i get desperate to hit some birds. Didn't let a few flocks commit fully and didn't hit any of the birds as a consequence. Had a great time, my dad came along (not a duck hunter) and took a few pictures and had a good time. Gotta love it when you have to break ice at the boat landing!!

Thanks everyone! We had a cold snap in central man down to 15 deg f or so. Was colder up north. Now it's warm again. Hopefully it pushes the birds down anyway!
