Decoy ambush

Postby jevc » Mon Nov 19, 2012 11:05 am

This morning I went for a goose hunt along the river. Had my decoys set up and sitting in the blind drinking a cup of coffee. Nothing moving but a nice morning to be sitting
On the river with the dog. About 8 am a gunshot blasts into goose floaters that were right in front of my blind. "Hey don't shoot. those are decoys. You **** moron. you can't tell the difference between a decoy and a goose?" I yelled again not to shoot and figured he would show up and appoligize. After about a minute i got out of the blind to go to find him and have a comversation. Poof, he gone. Disappeared. Heavy cover and he was either running for the hills or hiding. I started searching brush and yelling for him to man up and at least say he is sorry but the balless bastard never showed his face . if I had been sitting 20 yards to the left I would have taken some pellets.

Sorry
I'm the type of guy who "cups" his hand over his butt, farts, and dishes it out like a soup kitchen.

I had the same thing happen only it was on some mallard decoys. I just ran up there. I wasn't too upset, he was more embarrassed. I just said probably shouldn't shoot em off the water in the first place, but I can understand if your excited to get a duck. he gave me 25 bucks and was on his way.

I wasn't that pissed until he just slithered away. People make mistakes, but come on at least be a man

Consider yourself lucky friend. I read about the guy last year who was in his layout blind in Ohio amongst decoys in a field & some redneck f-stick shot w/his rifle from the road...AT A SINGLE GOOSE...& the bullet hit the kid in the head killing him instantly. There are simply too many morons out there & Obama convinced the whole lot of me to endorse I'm,...AGAIN!!!
