Thanksgiving hunt

Postby duktatr » Wed Nov 21, 2012 5:28 pm

It's a tradition in my family to go out on Turkey day to bring us home a goose. I rarely see another boat. Am I the only one? And where are the ducks? They are missing from my usual spots in the North.

Whats up North meaning north of 287 and 78 are all local ducks. The migration hasn't started still too warm for the big ducks.

There were two other boats out there with us this Thanksgiving. I think that's a first. Unfortunately none of us had very good luck on that cloudless day. The only birds we saw were sleeping in the marsh and getting up to get out of town without looking back and mostly before shooting time.
