Haydel Teal Pack

Postby tealbustin' » Thu Aug 17, 2006 5:52 am

Just got my Haydel teal calls via UPS. Thay are very simple, but they sound great.
That's right down my alley... simple, affordable, and with quality sound.

Now it's practice, practice, practice!
There's just something special about geting new calls. I did an online search for teal
calls and only came up with 3 choices.

1) Faulk 2) Haydel 3) Primos

I have 2 of the 3 now. All I lack is the Faulk call.
Does anyone know anything about the Faulk calls?
The other 2 came highly recommended to me. Thanks.

Unfortunately I can't help you much on calls. I spend a lot more time calling in my truck than in the blind. Maybe I'm to hard on myself, but I don't think I'm that good yet. I do have a RNT Daisy Cutter that I like the most and I can put my lips tight together and blow to get a sharp teal quack that I am happy with. I've also gotten a pretty good diver sound out of it. I just don't like my Mallard sound, although we don't have many down here anyway so I guess that doesn't matter too much.

I would also suggest getting a whistle. Mallards, teal, pintail and wigeon all whistle and I think a whistle will sometimes bring them in when other calls won't.

 Believe me, I understand!
I have never teal hunted yet and I am new to calls also.
I just didn't want to invest in a call that I didn't know about.
The others I got recommended, I just didn't know about Faulk calls.

I have a teal whistle already.

I am just a teal addict for some reason. I really do not have an intrest
in other waterfowl.

Keep up the calling in the truck... it'll pay off in the blind I'am sure of it.

We shoot a lotta teals over here in Fl, and the best teal call I have put my mouth on is the duck commander teal call. Sounds great.
