Video of our sea duck hunt!!

Postby AllFlockedUp » Wed Nov 28, 2012 10:11 pm

This is a video that I put together from our sea duck hunt in North Carolina earlier this week. Don't forget to change the quality to HD and give us a like on facebook @ www.facebook.com/AllFlockedUpProductions. Feedback welcomed!

Well, I couldn't see the action at all. Looked like you guys were just shooting the decoys. But I know how that goes with cameras. Aside from that, I liked the format of the video. Keep improving and posting what you have to show us.

Looks like a fun hunt. Calm weather and birds working the decoys. What was the depth you guys were set up at? I saw the makeshif floating blind you had set up. Looks like it worked well.

Shade I don't know if you viewed it on a phone or your computer but if you view it from your computer, click view fullscreen, and change the picture quality on the bottom of the video to 1080p you can see the action. The problem is that youtube sets the quality to poor but you can change it by clicking on the icon that looks like a gear and selecting 1080p and it will clear right up. Thanks for viewing and feedback. I think I will post a ringneck hunt from the first split on here as well.

We were in about 10 ft of water. Ya it took us a while the second day for us to fill our limit because they were not flying good, but yes when they did fly they worked wel!!

It is called a scissor rig. It rides on the boat on the way out there and then you stick your pine trees in it and kick it off of the boat with an anchor attached. You drive in it pull in the sides and clip it to it.

Good deal. do you think that's better than just brush on the boat?

Well in my opinion you can't have enough cover and the ease of backing out of it to pick up birds or decoys is what I like most!

Is it a lot of work to set one of those rigs up when your hunting?

Looks like a fun time, but thank goodness they weren't my decoys you were shooting over! :lol3:

Bull island it wasn't that bad with three folks helping out! Nothing hard just a little time.

I didn't even shoot at the first bird because it was in his decoys and the guide said to shoot them because they were home made decoys out of foam and they wouldn't sink!! I still didn't feel right about it but when he said shoot....... I shot!!!!
