Had our first nice show of mallards to go with the swarms of jacks in our marsh this morning, but still no greenwings to speak of. Pretty weird...

Rick, looks like yall have the mallards and we have the teal. We need to cross reports after the weekend if the weather allows us to get out.

Unless a tornado takes the boats, I'm going to the marsh. And if the boats are gone, I'm going to the rice.

8 pintail, 2-mallards,2-mottled, 2-widgeon, 4-grays, 1-snow, the rest teal. Not too bad of a morning for being summertime in mid December.

IT IS warm!!! We did see alot of BIG high flocks of ducks all morning. We were able to pull a few out of these flocks later in the morning when the shooting to our south subsided. Saw alot of migrators heading south while driving home. Large flocks of ducks and geese. I hope they stick around.

Dave, if you'd claimed it was slow on a morning like this one, I'd of known you were sandbagging.

We actually had some greenwings in our marsh this morning and hit 5. 'Course they were here for the first opening weekend, too, before disappearing on Monday.

We had very few teal to speak of. I would like to have something to play with until the guys to our south run out of shells. :lol3:

That duck on right had a HUGE Pecker . Is that a 2012 mallard hybrid?

Assuming you are talking about the "beak" and not the organ they do eat good if they haven't been in the marsh too long and yes they're not cosmetically pleasing but we don't descriminate. :lol3:
