We got out today and managed 13 between the 3 of us, 7 teal, 4 gadwall, 2 shovelers, and 1 hoodie drake. The birds were working very well today and responsive to calling. Not a bad day. Thanks to Bigkc for going this morning.

Kelly's Island was dead this morning. We hunted blind 13. Hasn't been hunted in weeks and still very few birds. We managed to scratch down one teal, other parties got a snog and a merganser. Some blacks and mallards around, like less than a dozen.

I been thinking about kelley island but havent had time to get out there and ride around. I hear the tide swing can be pretty wild. Is there much road left after the hurricane to get down there?

Port Mahon road past the impoundment was chewed up pretty good by Sandy, with some sections totally washed away. The road has been repaired to be passable, they brought in broken concrete and asphalt shavings and repaired the bad sections. At high tide the water is a foot above the road at some points. Lots of sand too. Its very bumpy and we took it way slow to save the transom from getting jacked up by the weight of the motor.
