Brand or size choke?

I typically only shoot modified. However, the guns I shoot are bored and don't have treads for choke tubes. My grandpa's model 12 used to be a full choke 30" barrel and he sawed it down to a modified. Then my double is modified and full.

Good conversation on the NY forum for this.

I use kicks extended chokes, they're awesome chokes MOD is great its about all you need. You can shoot full if you want to get maddog mean....but its worth the investment.

choke tubes

I have always shot the stock mod chokes in my guns but I just got the Carlsons full choke to try out and I love it. It comes in handy when shooting fleeing cripples on the water. But j regularly switch chokes

I run a Carlson's mid range in my Mossberg 835, and i have the Grand Passage choke tubes by Briley for my Browning Silver. I use the TImber & Teal for close range, LMOD for mid range, and IMOD for long range. All seem to work well.

I use the Carlson's Full as well and I love it. I usually run my factory mod at first light, then switch over to full once the birds start moving
