One woody and one merganser so far. I've only hunted once so far. I'm more of a deer hunter but I'm hooked now and trying to get started up!

O ya, once you start you dont stop. iv shot 1 gray duck hen, 1 drake woody, and 1 honker. Have shot a couple honkers and they just wouldnt go down. Also should have had my first greenhead but all I got was feathers. Went this mornin on a big lake and had 3 gray ducks decoy but couldn't shoot em cause a dude bass fishing was directly in the line of sight to shoot em so we had to hold off and by the time it was safe to shoot em they were too far.

we have killed at least 1 mature bird of each of these, many of most

BWT
Woodies
GWT
Merganser
Can
Redhead
Bufflehead
Ringer
Bluebill
Ruddy

Pretty good season to date considering we only hunt in GA. Lots of hunts with guys getting their limit hope the cold weather comes on down cause the birds are looking thin now.

I'm on the fla ga line but we have actually had mallards in our cypress brake since December. We havnt killed a to. Out of it but ever since two years ago they started showing up every year. Last year was warm so i do t think it got cold enough for them to show but two years ago we had about 150 this year we've had about 50. But we did see a pintail drake a drake black duck flyin together n there which was a first for the black, circled but never got close enough. We have killed pintail gadwall ringnecks woodies mostly. Killed sum cans and teal as well

Youcan & southern wings, sounds like yall have nice mixed bags that your sein. I have seen a pair buffys, mallards, gray ducks, honkers, woodsy, very few gwt, and a pair on spoonbills. im looking for birds I havent shot yet like a greenhead and a drake buffy but havent had any luck yet so far. I have come so close so many times to that greenhead but something always happens. i already have the spot and mount picked out for him for when I get him. :lol3:

Ya I only saw 6 and got them to circle back but not decoy. It was a workout in itself to just get them to circle lol. I hope it happens before season ends. I shot one in the butt and got a crap ton of feathers but he didnt drop, kept on going.
