I hunted the Brake with some Arkansas locals who had a mud motor. They were rich kids. The custom muffler on their motor costed more than my whole rig. Made the thing sound like a Harley.

Anybody who takes a mud motor to Rainey Brake ain't got much sense. The boat lanes are narrow and curvy. Those kids got in front of me in the race and got stuck only about 8 times because they couldn't turn. Had a 16 or 18 foot War Eagle attached to the mud motor. NICE boat, just not for that place.

We're making the trip to Arkansas this year. We plan to hunt Rainey Brake and a few other public spots. We got some good recommendations from some local folks there at RNT and Echo....can't say enough good things about Jimbo and Rick. The group of Georgia boys I hunt with have been hunting a long time all over the Southeast and Texas and know what we're doing....we don't step up on top of others, don't shoot the tops outta trees at ducks, blow hail calls, etc., etc. It sucks to read stories of folks keying cars and stealing someone's belongings. Don't know the exact situation on that. I also hate to read stories of someone going to a public area out-of-state and having little respect. Guess it leaves a somewhat bad taste in my mouth and makes me wonder what we're getting into. Just hope we can go hunting with hopes to have success without having to deal with folks stealing stuff and keying trucks just because of what state is on the license plate.
Good luck out there.

Easssy there. He wasn't starting a threat down. He just wanted all the dumb locals down in Arkansas to know that, unlike the locals, that group of Georgia boys he hunts with have been hunting a long time all over the Southeast and Texas and know *** they're doing....they don't step up on top of others, don't shoot the tops outta trees at ducks, blow hail calls, etc., etc...

He just making sure that you know that they got their dook together. And before any of idiot hillbillies step up, he want em to know that they been to Texas, ergo suck it becausre they know their crap.

See, not offensive at all when you look at it that way.

I'm glad you cleared that up cannon. For a minute I was wondering why someone would dig up a thread that's been dead for over a year just to give us locals a psa.
