BIG THANKS TO THE RESCUERS FROM FARMERS

Postby cajunblaster » Tue Dec 18, 2012 10:53 am

Sunday morning started out quiet enough. I got my Stealth 2000 duck boat ready to float down the Licking River to see if any ducks had gotten this far south yet. I have made this trip several times the last 2 weeks which proved uneventful but enjoyable none the less. Sunday the river was up even more than it was 2 days ago. Two weeks ago it took nearly 3 hours to make my trip and 2 days ago it took 1 hour. The trip went along good and fast until I was late making a turn. The current swept my boat into the trees in the middle of the river and flipped it on its side. I was able to get upon its side and hold to a tree until a man on the bank saw that I was stranded and called for help. The Farmers Fire Department and Rescue Unit came and got me and my guns and other equipment ashore. It turned out to be a little more than this 72 year old man had planned. Many thanks to the professionals who saved the day.
