Just joined up and wanted to say hello to all. I'm in central WV this is my second year chasing ducks here. Hoping to make some new friends on here and maybe share a trip or two.

Welcome and good luck. You have some good hunting near you with stonewall and stonecoal.

Let's try to work something out, just need some cold weather. Scouted today, few ducks, but a good many geese, so we will see what the morning brings.

High of 30 with snow and 15-20 WNW winds. Better pack the thick socks and coffee.

Stonewall is probably the worst lake in the state for ducks. I don't waste my time there. Now stonecoal is pretty good, but I typically hunt Tygart and a few rivers in the area.

No haven't tried it yet all I have is a 10' jon with a trolling motor so it's hard to get around. Hopefully in a couple weeks I'll have a new 1448 alumacraft rigged up with a 25hp to get around in.

But they are pretty steathy and convenient for getting into tight spots and not spooking birds.

Yea i got my 10 footer camo'd up and a blind built on it. I use it on the rivers and lake edges when it's to deep to wade. I want the bigger boat for room and getting on the big lakes. Plus i love walleye fishing around here and sold my big boat last fall so I need something for that lol.

Yea the small jons sure aren't very stable. Thats why I want the 48" wide model it's 70" across the beam so it will be good for 3 guys and our gear.
