I know some of you have already harvested some banded birds this season. Lets here what they were, and where they were from. The northerns are on the way fellas, so good hunting too all, :thumbsup: From Oregon D.H.C.

Hen mallard shot at LDC...banded in July 2012 by John Carlson Jr near LDC.

Report states, "this bird was too young to fly when banded in 2012." She was young.

3 bands so far this year. 1 from Yollo NWR, Butte and Klamath.

one hen mallards band so far. shot it a few miles away from ldc. it was banded in 2012 waltnut grove ca, to young to fly.

Hen woodie banded 5/11 in Chester,CA shot on 12/14/12
I hunt cause I love going deep into the bush and I always shoot twice!

1 Wood Duck Drake, Gray Lodge, Banded in August 2012 "Too young to fly".

20 minutes later my buddy dropped a Hen Wood Duck in the same pond and she was banded as well, same report.

Taken on 10/10/12 10 miles north of Alturas Modoc County

Shot my first drake wood duck today. Just Alos happen to be the first band I ever shot. I need to turn it in tomorrow. Does any k ow how long it takes to get the info back

It's almost instant! I've reported bands from the blind on my smart phone and known all the info right away.

My buddy has shot 2 banded honkers in two hunts in red bluff. Bands were shot one week apart and the band numbers are one number apart. Both banded in Alturas in 2012

I shot a banded greenhead on opener. Banded in Fairfield, shot near Los Banos. He was banded in 2002.

Wished I had saved him for a mount. Oh well.

Thanks for the report silverband. Dont know if you read my post "1500 banded greyducks" back in october but I was hoping I'd get some feedback before the season was over. Way to go brother.Good hunting too you.
