I haven't been doing much lately but wanted to scout a few spots before gunning in the morning with my partner Chick. Jack and I checked an old honey hole and found a lot of action. While Jack and I were walking up a pair of Hoodies buzzed me and I dropped the drake w/ one shot directly overhead at 40mph!!! Whew!!! Blackies erupted all around and I wished I hadn't shot the Hoody... I watched 5 drop into the pond and as we watched 2 more come in I knew where to go in the morning!!!! Chick and I like hunting the coastal zone cause we usually get a South Jersey limit of one blackie and two brant. And that's just about what I did this afternoon in less than an hours time- One blackie stooled rite in and 5 minutes later a single juvenile brant stooled rite in. Jack made 3 quick retrieves and we decided to leave a few for the morning.
I didn't bring the camera as it was a last minute deal, I almost didn't even bring the gun but thought better of it at the last minute... glad I did!
