New to forum, curious about ducks in NOCO

Postby konadmax » Wed Jan 16, 2013 4:24 pm

Hi, Ive lived in Berthoud all my life and have been getting into waterfowl the past few years. We've been getting skunked on ducks for a while now, I was curious if ANYONE knew any areas to get into some ducks in the Larimer/Weld/Boulder area? Besides Lon Hag, Lonetree, Simpson Ponds, etc......Any input is appreciated :)

Best option is go here and do a search http://wildlife.state.co.us/LandWater/S ... s/swa.aspx
A lot of skunking going on out there this season, hell I went 0-20 ,before getting a duck,it is real spotty at best, some get a few but this season for me is worse than last season,I never thought a season could suck as bad as last season

Compared to most states there is very little public land in Colorado but if you scout and figure out where the birds are at then you should have no problem killing a few. Look on the CDOW website and it'll show you all of the State Wildlife Areas and it's all on you after that

Found some grouse and a few ducks and geese out east on the river.
