Northeast Arkansas Public hunting.

Postby Trent_Rivers » Thu Jan 17, 2013 5:12 pm

I have read alot on this site over this season and finally joined. I am in college with little money to spend on gas or a duck boat but I would like to walk in at either Bayou Deview or if possible St Francis Sunken Lands. I just need an idea on walk in accesses and which of the two wma's would be my better option. If I could just get an idea on where i can park my truck and walk in trails that are worth the time that would be great.

I am not trying to internet scout by the way because I know how hated that is. Basically I just need a one or the other reply if it is even possible to walk in at Saint Francis. That is all.

scout, scout, scout. I imagine right now with all the rain it'd be tough to walk in on any river and retrieve decoys. I don't know about st. francis though, never hunted it afoot.

Ive got a buddy that has been on the St Francis and he says sometimes they do really good and sometimes it sucks. But thats basically anywhere. I guess I will need to meet some people with a boat before next season. I walked in down at Bayou Deview and only got one Greenie. I assume the birds were local ducks and new where no one would be hunting. :fingerhead:
