We have a small flatbed that we use to haul the four wheeler/decoys into the field. What we did really wasn't meant to be done on the road at higher speeds but works great for us.

We have a ramp gate on the back to start and then took cattle panels or goat panels and cut them to length and width. The attached them with u bolts and flat stock to the outside rails. Then just took heavy duty zip ties to secure the corners. Then we bought a truck cargo style net for the top. It goes up and breaks down quickly. We did that to be able to use the trailer for other things.

Hope that helps.
