This weekened is the final weekend and a field we are hunting isn't exactly on the X but has been used a few times this season. We are seeing upwards for 4000 geese in the area we are hunting. However the field is a cut bean field and with no stubble. what decoy spread would you guys recommend if we had to set up right at the edge of the wood line? how many decoys?

I would suggest setting up in a way that you could catch them on the swing. I'm guessing that laying in the field is out of the question. Geese tend to stay away from the edges of fields but sometimes do perfer them. My best guess would be to set your decoys up wind of you, if posible, and try to get the geese to come over you on their way to your decoys. you may have to adjust the distance the decoys are from you through out the day to get their aproach low enough. just my 2 cents. its a tough call with out being there.
