what kind of decoy spread for the bay, species and number? I have lived here for five years and never hunted they bay, have always just made the trip back to NEA Arkansas where im from. i want to give the bay a try this year. thanks :beer:

Seriously though 3-4 dozen and lots of white. Gadwall, pintail, wigeon, blue bills, and teal.

If you hunt a small slew or eddy/pond (5 or less acres) then you could get away with 4 dozen. If hunting more open water or slews/ponds more then 5 acres then 6 dozen is a minimum to start with. Most that use a boat use anywhere from 6 doz up to 10-12 doz. I use about half pintails, then a mix of widgeon, teal, redheads, gadwall and bluebills. good luck
