A Perfect Day for Snows

Postby pvn6616 » Sat Feb 16, 2013 7:01 pm

Some nights are worse than others, you know, when you toss and turn in anticipation of events to come? That's how my "day" began...
Unfortunately the day was not as anticipated. The snows did not cooperate at all, at one point they did rise in the refuge, but settled right back down and that was the extent of the action other than one small flock that flew into the refuge overhead at 2PM.
So my partner in crime Chickie, who missed a fantastic hunt last weekend due the snowstorm up north which prevented him from traveling, and Paul who was looking to tag his first white devil were not allowed to experience the allure of the snow goose shooting today, but will have to wait for the next time when they drop into my spread.
Hunting...ya gotta love it!

Feast or famine with those snows. Many days of waiting for the big payoff. Try,try again.
