C&S Apostle Guts

Postby Swamp Chuck » Mon Feb 18, 2013 6:28 pm

New to goose calling and like the Apostle. I was reading that the guts in mikes calls aren't favored by most people. But i have never changed out guts in my calls. I was just wondering if i got an Apostle, should i change the guts? What guts should i put in the call? And is it easy to change out the guts?
thanks

I've got a few C&S goose calls and never found his line of guts to not run and sound good in his calls.

I purchased a Die Hard Apostle some time ago and liked the guts he put in it better than his earlier guts.

His new guts are an improvement! His old ones were good, but took a lot of air. his new guts are good as gold.

I've not had a chance to try any of his newest guts, but his older Pillow Makers and first try at BIG's run good in any of his goose calls.

I have an Apostle with the stock guts and I like it. That said, I am considering changing them out with his new bigs just for fun...

I just felt like I couldn't get real fast on them. They also seem to lose some air for me.

They do have a good crack and low end though
