Called last week and was placed on his list, said I should have it mid summer. Can't wait to have one! How did you go about choosing your wood Duck Hammer? Was it something he already had?

Some time ago I bought a couple of Aaron's whistles in very nice spalted wood for my son and grandson.
Mine, as pictured above in my previous post, is rather plain osage from an old fence post here on my farm.
The real beauty of these, however, is in their great performance! I hunt costal La. some every year and the great number of pintail and teal in that area make these whistles really shine!
Burnt osage orange whistle worked great on pintails this year and matching duck call doesn't sound bad either. Have one just likes Duck Hammers in Black Ash burl with an oil finish and expecting an email for another one in gold dyed crosscut white oak. Aaron sure does make a beautiful call!!!
Haven't stopped...I'm in the shop 7 nights a week! Just trying to get the backlog caught up somewhat instead of telling folks they have to wait for several months. Thanks again to everybody for the nice comments and showing off your whistles.
I am about to order one! It is worth the wait it seems!
