I did. I wanted to get a M1. I never thought that a old War Club could be so accurate. Now I got 6 of them. :grooving:

I do a few matches each summer with a M1 Garand and 03A3. Both in OEM condition and especially the 03 super accurate, wish I had more time, dog training, trap, and golf take up most of the time and fishing has taken the back seat. Wooah is me. Spring is almost here.

I shot the army / navy matches for years while I was serving. loved shooting 600 meters with open sights and my M1A Match. but now I can either see the sights or the target but not both  stick to sporting clays now. I have to admit I was GOOD at it and can still take a 500 yd shot on a WT and drop him every time (with a zeiss 4-14x44 and 300wsm) Love the long range challenge with the right rifle and experience it is rewarding.
