Postby Canvasback » Wed Sep 13, 2006 7:22 pm

We are hunting arounf the Linton area the 3rd week of October and want any info any of you North Dakota hunters can pass along about the conditions and productive areas to hunt. We plan on field hunting in the morning and scouting in the evening. Also should we waste the money on a Swan tag or not in this area. Thanks for any info you can pass along. :help:

From what I have heard that area is dry just like the rest of the state. Of course the bigger lakes are around but alot of the smaller potholes are dried up or only a few inches deep. As far as productive places to hunt you are going to have to scout when you get to N.D. like you said. I doubt anyone is going to give away the good spots they found out scouting on the internet.
As far as a Swan tag goes you never know when you might come across a flock.

Good luck!
