Boat Blind for Side Console

Postby JuneBug » Thu Mar 21, 2013 9:49 am

I am shopping for a blind for my boat, I have 16 flat bottom Alweld Side Console. I have looked at several blinds and they all seem to be tailored to non-console boats. Can anyone point me in the right direction of a good blind that works with side consoles. I would prefer just to purchase one. Thanks

avery quick set.... lifts straight up. It's one of the only one's i know of that you dont have to modify for a SC boat. I have seen a mud buddy quick flip work too. I think he installed it with a couple inchs extra on that side but im not really sure.

Thank you, I was looking at those yesterday, they appear to be good blinds.

I wasn't aware if they went out of business. And yes I know a lot of people with them, I had one on an old wigeon I used to hunt out of. I liked it and so does everyone I know who used them

I thought they went out of business as well, either way I heard that they were hard to get ahold of and alot of guys had complaints about the customer service.

Have you ever thought about building your own to make it fit just right? If you do a search there are alot of guys in the boat forum that have built some pretty slick blinds for side consoles.

I don't know if they're still in business or not, but I know Jamey can be a tough guy to track down. He makes a good blind though, and I've really liked my flyway specialy blind.

I have a Avery Quick Set on my Polar Kraft 16 ft and it works nicely. It took a little work since it was both a side console and taper in the front, but not to much work. Hope this helps and I have other pictures if you need anything.
