I've heard there is good hunting on the coastal rivers,siuslaw,umpqua,etc. I'm thinking of trying this out. I'm hoping to get some ideas or pointers from people that have done this

What state are you talking about? I can move this post to the appropriate state forum, that way you can get views and input from guys that are familiar with the particular areas you are talking about.
