I haven't been over to your spot yet, but the hole I took you it's clear. Went today and caught one keeper red and six keeper trout all off of topwater.

Nice it was pretty clear for about 10 minutes the other day and then the wind ripped it up to where I couldnt see bottom in 10" of water. Need to get back down soon.

Like I told you before stump give me a holler when your up this way. They have disappeared along with the axis recently but a little sweet feed and molasses should fix that. Tako is supposed to come down when he gets time off from work.

I will defiantly, you need to get back down here for some fishing once this water clears up. Looks like coffee :(

Ugh that brown tide sucks... drive over to lighthouse lakes. It is still clear there. You can ask Tako bout the deer we saw today... still pissy about not getting a shot off.

That's in Venice, and the water was really dirty that week.

Re: keep grinding

Postby Bayou_Bowhunter » Tue Jun 25, 2013 2:57 pm

I am too busy with lacrosse on the weekends through May so I dont get to do much fishing. In March i did a bowfishing trip in LA and got 2 reds doing that.

June was great, GF paid for guided trip for my birthday and we hammered the reds. Later that week I went surf fishing in surfside and got 8 spex 16-20". Bite was unreal for the spex, lasted for the last 30 minutes of outgoing tide all on strawberry/white trout killer. Strung 3 keepers in a row on casts on two occasions in that time frame and was getting bites on almost every cast. Had to walk my stringer in when the guy next to me had a shark come up and take a trout from his stringer. Bite was dead once i got back in the water.
