Drills to build air capacity?

Postby mkeller » Tue May 28, 2013 8:34 pm

Newer to blowing a goose call and was wondering if there were certain drills callers can do to help build lung capacity for longer call squences?

Thanks for any input!

Matt

Nathan Wright, who makes Redbone speck and snow calls and has won about everything in those categories, at least used to suggest working with a spirometer like folks do for respiration therapy. Haven't tried it, but makes sense.
If you think I'm wrong, you might be right.

Do search for Chad Belding, i believe he had some different videos of drills. I believe I saw them on you tube or maybe at the end of the fowl life episodes when he was doing calling tips. He also has a calling dvd out, I haven't seen it but they may be there as well.
