If you're thinking Twin Falls, you are within 2hrs either way of it all... except the Pan Handle.
Twin does have it's share of big city problems on a very much smaller scale.
On the other hand, it's pretty close to dead center for bird hunting. Pretty good fishing for about everything the state has to offer except Salmon and steelhead, and it's not all that far to those either.
Can't say about big game, as I gave that up years ago because of legs.
Winters are a touch milder than in the East where I live, but still get a real winter and snow to go with it.
Thank you very much for the feed back. We for sure want a small town, I can't live in a city. I am hoping to pick up big game hunting one of these days. I've always been a bird hunter, so it's something I need to learn more about. I too have some problems with the legs, back and chest from when I was overseas but I figure even if I didn't have legs I'd still find a way, of course the pain sucks I understand that. I know I may go out for a weekend or even just a day and I'm down for a week. I'll just keep reading and asking questions, not to worry I won't ask about hunting areas lol. Here, if you live on the Wesr side it's all about hunting on the East side and then if you live on the East side it's the reverse, geez. When I originally asked the question it was predicated on which part of the state was best for all around. Guess no matter where you are it's better someplace else lol
